Close Achievement Gaps through STEM

To be invited to speak at the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) and share with superintendents, deputy superintendents, board members, policy makers and Texas Education Agency officials our school’s best practices as to why our STEM Program is one of the best in the state (and in the country) is an honor in itself but to be invited for the 5th time is quite a feat. I thank my administrators and our staff for their continued support of my dreams for at-risk students and all my initiatives to close achievement gaps through STEM and to provide students’ a head start through the years. Most importantly, I thank all my students— past and present — for believing in me that they can do it and for doing a great job. They are our future and I am grateful to be a part of their journey. To them go the rewards of all my hard work and the fruits of my labor and to God the glory!

** From the piney woods to the plains, from the gulf coast to the hill country, from the booming metropolis to the secluded farmlands, the great state of Texas has over 1250 public independent school districts (ISDs) and countless other accredited private schools.
